Do you know the following symptoms from your electric appliances?
The coffee machine needs much more time to cook the coffee than some time ago. It makes loud gurgling noises and produces a lot of steam but less coffee.
In most cases the appliance is calcified. In many places the tap water contains a lot of lime.
Maybe as well in your place of living? Calcified appliances consume more electric current than lime-free appliances. Coffee machines or electric kettles need more time to heat the water.
A decalcification doesn't require long cleaning, often some household-vinegar is enough.
How to decalcify your electric appliances
Mix normal household-vinegar with water in the relationship 50:50.
The quantity goes by the size of your electric appliance. To decalcify fill the water-vinegar-mixture into the water reservoir of the coffee-machine.
Switch on the coffee-machine and let the water run through as if cooking coffee (but without coffee-powder).
Attention: Afterwards let run through clear water twice so that the next coffee doesn’t taste of vinegar.
To decalcify your electric kettle fill it with the above-described water-vinegar-mixture and boil it. The lime comes off by itself by the acetic acid. In case of a stronger calcification leave the vinegar-mixture in the kettle for approximately half an hour. Afterwards let it boil once again. Finally, repeat this procedure with normal water, without vinegar.
Thus, your electric appliances should regain a perfect condition.
