The eye - the gate to sensuality

The LookThe Look

In our society the eye seems to be the most important sense organ. We know "love at first sight".

Without visual sense there would be no voyeurism, no exhibitionists, less embarrassing sense of shame.

Many encyclopaedias describe the eye as a female sexual symbol.

Long before scientific investigations proved that enlarged pupils increase the attractiveness, Italian women used this effect in the 19th century by dripping the extract of Belladonna into their eyes. This extract, called atropin, extends the pupils.

Beauty

BeautyWith our eyes we perceive beauty and charm. Without the eyes there would be no advertisement, no pornography, no cosmetics, no beauty surgery and also no erotic art.

Optical Attractions

Optical attractionsIn general, men react stronger to optical charms than women. According to a survey most women first look at the eyes and hands of a man, while the first look of a man belongs to the female breasts and buttocks.

Nevertheless, a scientific investigation has proved that a visual erotic influence has got no effect on the hormone level: no doubt, men feel stimulated by visual charms, but a production of the physical lust substances was only determined after touching the amiable body.

Erogenous Zone

Eyes are not only senses to register erotic impressions visually. Eyes are erogenous zones, too, which are highly sensitive for touches. And eyes reflect internal experiences by discoloration, narrowing and extension. Eyes are considered as "mirror of the soul".

The colour of the eyes, their cut and the way to look are centres of attraction which influence the erotic play and choice.

Attractive Eyes

attractive eyesIn the antiquity the "cow-eyed" woman was beautiful, in the orient the "almond-eyed" woman. A slight squinting, called the "silver gleam", is perceived as attractive by many people. An overcast, dreamy look, called "bedroom eyes" is often connected with sensuality. Twisting the eyes during sex is an indication of ecstasy.
