Pendulum Divination with Maps
Pendulum Divination for Advanced Learners
![]() |
If you have already some experience with the pendulum, you can practice divination with maps. I would not, however, recommend this kind of pendulum divination to beginners.
And I would not start with a world map. Best select a map of your vicinity. The larger the scale, the better.
North, South, East, West
Spread the map on a table. Run the pendulum over the northern edge, then the eastern, southern and western edge. Then hold the pendulum over the center of the map. Begin with simple questions:
- "Where is north?"
- "Where is south?"
- "Where is east?"
- "Where is west?"
When asking for the north, the pendulum should swing between the north and the south. You should feel a noticeable pull towards the north. Then you can turn the map and ask the same questions.
Sie können die Karte dann auch mal umdrehen und die gleichen Fragen stellen.
Find Rivers and Lakes by Map Divination

Continue with questions you can check directly by means of the map. Again hold the pendulum over the center of the map. Ask now e.g., in which direction you can find water. Of course, there could be many locations. Take into account that the pendulum also indicates underground water places. These you cannot check by means of a map.
If the pendulum indicates a clear direction, follow it. When the pendulum is above the searched place, it should begin to circle.
If the pendulum does not indicate a clear direction, hold the pendulum in the vicinity of a lake or river. Ask in which direction the next lake can be found.
Find Prominent Places by Map Divination
Now ask for prominent places. E.g. ask in which direction the highest mountain, the station or the nuclear power station is located. First ask questions you can check immediately by means of the map.
If you are familiar with pendulum map divination, you can also ask other questions, such as:
- "Where does person X live?"
- "Where do I find a certain plant? (Example: find medical plant)
