Take a bucket or a tub. The container can be of wood or plastic, but not of metal.

Collect the nettles. It doesn’t matter whether you use young or old sprouts. Collect as many nettles as you need to fill the container.

Then add cold water until all nettles are covered. If possible take rainwater or well water. Tap water is often too hard which may damage the plants. Cover the container with a board or a cloth.

This nettle-water-mixture requires about three weeks until it is ready. Stir the nettle liquid manure once daily.

Attention! Don't mind the unpleasant smell.

How to fertilize with the nettle manure

Prepare a mixture of nettle liquid manure and water in the relationship of 1:20. E.g. for 10 liters of water half a liter of nettle liquid manure.

To fertilize pour the nettle liquid manure mixture on the earth around the plants. For pest control in the garden also water your plants with the nettle liquid manure mixture. Pour it over the leaves.

The nettle liquid manure strengthens the plants and expels annoying vermin. For specific pest control you can produce liquid manure from other plants. Redolent plants like wormwood, lavender, sage and thyme are especially well-suited.
